Guinness massively overrated beers.
I had a pint of undercurrent by Siren brewery the other day. You know what its like when you get the taste and could sit there a smash down 8 pints in the afternoon, cracking beer.
There are so many good ales about nowadays, local micro breweries its a joy if you get out the mainstream.
Nothing worse than going into a pub and its:
Stella, Kronie, Guinness, fosters, Strongbow the same everywhere for too long - cooking booze.

Me and a MATE pulled a couple of local birds when we went to Dominica Rep around 1990, who took us to "their" part of town where the tourists don't go.
Went to a bar and got a BOTTLE of that Barcelo Rum, as much 7 Up as you wanted with it AND chips for $5.
It was $5 a shot in tourist area's.

Being a semi professional alcoholic with limited funds.
Lidl do some French "Premium" lager (4.8%) for £3.19, which ain't bad.
Also get half decent bottle of necking Red or White wine for £3.99.

German lagers or Pils is my preferred choice, or a Peroni Gran Reserva. Sierra Nevada is okay too. Do like an ale but not got a favourite. Stout in the winter with Sunday lunch.
Also I had an Israeli Beer that was 10% when I was in Israel, strongest beer I've ever had,veas pissed after one and it tasted good too, wouldn't mind some of that again!
